I pasted it in there although it has my name on it which I couldn't find a way not to do. Would it not let you post there? Try it again just pasting it in and if it works then I will delete the one with my name on it.

I disagree completely and think the don't ask don't tell is a good policy. It is not about competence it is about moral for the rest of the people. I think about how much I hate San Francisco because every time I go there I get treated to some freak show in the middle of the street. I would never risk taking Christopher to visit that city for fear of what he would be exposed to. This isn't about being politically correct or accepting, it is about human decency and a group whose members often have no respect for others. Whether it is dikes on bikes with one facing the other on her shoulders so she can get off and be driven down the street at the same time. Or one guy with a spiked collar and leash, with leather chaps but nothing else but his bare ass hanging out being led down the street by his boyfriend/owner. Gays are often deviants who do things just for shock value and if that is what they are willing to do in the middle of the street in San Francisco I would hate to be sharing a barack with a bunch of guys of the same sex while a couple of them were carrying on doing what ever it is they do in private. I can just see where this leads, if the offended party complains then he is a non tolerant bigot. So the straight guys have to suck it up and become accepting of that deviant behavior and hope they can survive long enough to get home to a female for a similar experience. Obviously you knew that people you served with were gay but they were forced to keep their desires in private which is where they should be. I have very close friends who are gay but they don't subject me to disgusting behavior, they are lots of fun and I love them dearly. However I wouldn't have anything to do with most of the deviants I see in San Francisco regardless of how nice or competent they are. They are sick individuals who would all of a sudden be a protected class in the military who could carry on there in the barracks just like they do in the street and if not allowed they would have the ACLU filing suit against the military.
